The Wolfman Review

I am not really into going out to the movies, mainly because the majority of movies that come out are shit and in this tough economic time I can not justify spending over $10 to see garbage, and don’t get me started on this 3-D bullshit.

Netflix finally sent me The Wolfman, and I was never so happy to send a movie back.  I had more fun watching both Lost Boys sequels then I did this movie.  The acting was pitiful, especially any scene that involved Benicio Del Toro, people he just isn’t a good actor stop putting him in movies.  The effects were so beyond bad, to the point that I felt it was just insert shots from the original Wolfman movie.  They had an estimated budget of $150 million and it in no way shape or form looked like it that effects house should be given job until they can better prefect their craft.  The wolves in the Twilight films are better done and they look like shit.  Maybe if there was some nudity it would be a little more watchable but alas there was none.  You would hope that the story would be captivating enough to keep you focused, but no I found myself dozing off very often and I imagine many other viewers experienced the same thing.

I only hope that director Joe Johnston learns from his mistakes in this film (to which there are many) and can do a better job on Captain America: The First Avenger.
